The Problem with the Media Broadcasting Industry is very simple, super simple: They need to press our congress to pass new legislation to Regulate the two Giants like Facebook, and Google which are native USA companies, and completely ban out of the equation Tik Tok. The problem with social Media relies on the fact that they are running freely with no regulation and no oversight from our laws! Spreading fake news, scam ads, miss information of every kind, and yet, no one says or does anything from our government!! But if the NAB will press congress to identify the major players like Facebook as a Communication Network like Verizon, or Comcast where they will have to obey by the rules and regulations that apply to those trades for example: not being allowed to sell any advertising, or not being allowed to publish on their network any free advertising of any kind by their private party users, that will automatically balance everything for the broadcasting industry. On the other hand, if Facebook and others like them, will rather want to sell advertising on their networks, they will need to be branded as Publishers, and as a result, they will have to obey by the rules of any other publishing media out there like newspapers, radio, and tv!! Right now, Facebook, and other social media networks, they are every thing in one! with no over sight, no regulation, and no intervention of any kind from any one! when a person creates a Facebook group with 100k members, and that person starts to sell advertising to the local merchants for $1500 bucks a month for 2 or 3 post published daily, just about any one can do that despite their honesty, their criminal record, or despite anything! that really hurts every one including Facebook cause that behavior has yielded too much harm to our communities!. and the only one who profits is that person who took advantage of the gigantic unregulated mess that Facebook has become cause many times Facebook is not even aware of those practices cause his algorithm is to dumb to identify and ban the abuse of his network! It isnt fair for a radio station to be highly regulated just to see that on Facebook planet, or any other social media, every body posts just about any thing and despite how harmful the content may be, no body cares!!! What this gigantic Monsters have become over the years has been thanks to the lock of willingness from the Broadcasting Industry to stop this derailed train!! Just imagine, do you think its fair that all the advertising money produced on the United States territory from the Facebook ads revenue, and the rest of the world, goes directly to only one single person: Mark Sucker Berg! This is a Monopoly!! It is because it has grown like a virus with his tentacles that had spread all over the world! If a radio station has so many complaints by the listeners, the FCC will cancel their license in a minute. Well, what about Facebook? Despite all the millions of complaints, he keeps operating like if nothing ever happened!! On the beginning, Facebook, and Google where harmless little angels until the day they learned that the money was on the Advertising world. That's when The Broadcasting Industry should have join forces and never allow Facebook or any other social media network to sell any adverting of any form or any kind! It is unfair competition! It is like the guy who is selling drugs to every one drugs who are highly addictive, but no ones does anything cause he operates from an unregulated source!! Well, that's bull-scrap! I don't care if the origin of the source is unregulated or not, if its something that will affect the consumers, or if it will create a monopoly with unfair competition like Unfair Advertising practices, the affected parties need to join forces and fight this monstrosity called social media beginning with Facebook, google, tik tok, and others!! NO REGULATION MEANS HUGE PROFITS FOR COMPANIES LIKE FACEBOOK UNTIL BIG REGULATION STEPS IN!! I am not saying that we need to ban social media all together, what I am saying that this gigantic social media platforms grew too big to the point that they are COMMUNICATION NETWORKS and PUBLISHERS with cero oversight and No Regulation!! When Russia bought millions of dollars to spread fake news about Hillary Clinton, She lost the election! If any radio station would ever allow a catastrophe like that one on their signal, the signal would have been shut off for ever and the license confiscated!!!! Thats just one example of the harm that this Social Networks have created, and yet, the Radio and TV broadcasters instead of fighting the problem by the root, they instead want to create more content for the very evil company who is killing their business model!!! Thank you!!

It's so cool to get hands-on experience with drones and cranes in a professional setting. I own a marketing and digital media agency and hire creators for traveling projects, but would love to have the gear in-house for my local team. There was so much to see at NAB Show and I didn't get to try this experience. Next year for sure! Thanks Caden for sharing your Aerial DP experience. I have a mini DJI drone I still haven't flown.

I see the publication date was 7/16/2022, but when was this presented? My research area is on the convergence of VR and traditional broadcast technologies so I was excited to view this. ATSC Planning Team 4 started talking about the potential of adding VR into the standard in their 2018-2019 report in the section titled "Future Video Formats and Services": (www.atsc.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/PT4-038r8-PT4-Written-Summary-2019-11-18.pdf), so I was hoping for an update of that research. I was surprised to see cardboard VR and PC based VR but no mention of Oculus Quest or the upcoming Project Cambria from Oculus/Meta so I wondered if this was a recording from a previous NAB show.
